What HN said

What people liked

  • Welcome an open source alternative for internal tooling

    From 1 comment
    • Love that there is an alternative OSS for internal tooling. As a PM , I totally underappreciate the power of these tools in streamlining the workflows across the org.

Objections

  • AGPL license seen as a downside, feels like trialware to some

    From 2 comments
    • AGPL definitely is a downside!
      17120 on HN
    • I'm sure it's not a popular opinion, but I consider AGPL to be more source-available trialware than OSS. Even for strictly internal tooling, I hesitate to use AGPL licensed code.

    • AppSmith (https://github.com/appsmithorg/appsmith) is good one as well.
