I like this a lot, although the UI could be optimised it is relatively easy to understand, however it kinda bugs me that there isn't a way to represent different hair/skin colors…

Blank canvas option and scrolling instead of pagination

I would suggest a blank canvas option. I found it hard to make adjustments with some of the defaults if I was going for a specific look.
